God offers forgiveness of sins. God offers cleansing from sin. God offers His love in grace to those that repent of sins. This offer doesn’t include returning to commit sin. God’s condition for forgiveness is for you to repent (turn away forever from sin), and receive His love, grace, and mercy. God’s condition is for you to refrain and abstain from sin.
Jesus didn’t die so that we can continue in sin. He died to free us from sin.
Can you be holy and be an adulterer? Can you be holy and a fornicator? Can you be holy and a bisexual? Can you be holy and engage in sex with an animal? Can you be holy and cheat, steal, kill, rob, and lie? Can you be holy and hateful? Can you be holy and full of pride and arrogance?
Do you agree that adultery is wrong?
Do you agree that fornication (porn) is wrong?
Do you agree that kidnapping young children, women, and teens for the sex trade is wrong?
Do you agree that priests or even Christian ministers that rape and molest young boys and girls is wrong?
Do you agree that having sex with your mother is wrong?
Of course, some of you do because God said it was wrong.
The same God also told us that men having sex with men is wrong and women having sex with women is wrong.
In 1 Samuel 2:2-3, Hannah, the mother of the prophet Samuel, and last judge of Israel said,
“No one is holy like the Lord, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God. “Talk no more so very proudly; let no arrogance come from your mouth, for the Lord is the God of knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed.”
The one thing that you will constantly and consistently see is that God is holy.
He loves you enough to tell you that He is holy. That means that His character is perfect. Man is imperfect because of…..sin.
Now because God is holy, how can we live in sin and be holy in His presence?
Is it possible to live in sin and be holy at the same time?
You see, we want to have God in our lives with our sin and that cannot be possible.
As I have said before, God demonstrated His love by sending His Son to die for our sins so we can be free of sin. The love of God is not about letting you have your way and live the way you want to. The love of God is about saving you from sin.
Is God holy? Yes or No. If you say yes, then to have a relationship with God, you must be holy.
How can a person be holy?
It is only by accepting the provision of salvation to repent of sins and relinquish sin. By declaring Him Lord over your life.
To declare Jesus Lord over your life means that you turn over to Him your life and let Him help you control your life. That’s where the Word of God comes and helps you to understand what sin is and live a righteous life.
The initial prayer of accepting Jesus is powerful enough to transform a person. What a sinner must do is relinquish control of his or her life to Jesus and learn from the Bible how to live the way God wants you to live.
By learning from the Bible how the Lord wants us to live means that you commit sin no more because God is holy. It also means that you do not hate anyone anymore because the love of God is spread in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
Being holy is not a self righteous act. Being holy is living like the Father lives.
How does the Father live?
All we need to do is look at the way Jesus lived.
Jesus is the expression of the Father.
You see, it is not just about loving like Jesus loves. It is about living as Jesus lived.
Jesus lived with no need for sins. When we believe in Jesus, we have no need for sins. We have no need for adultery, fornication, bisexuality, homosexuality, lesbianism, lying, cheating, stealing, murdering, covetousness, etc.
True believers are satisfied in Jesus that sin is no longer necessary (see John chapter 4).
That’s what being a true believer in Jesus is about. Having no need for sin because Jesus meets your every need.
Your need for love.
Fulfilled in Jesus.
Your need for true satisfaction.
Fulfilled in Jesus.
Your need for comfort.
Fulfilled in Jesus.
Sin can never fulfill. Sin always leave you unfulfilled and unsatisfied.
When you look to adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, and other sins, you are not truly satisfied.
As you look at your life, do you feel depressed, angry, upset, dissatisfied?
If you are, there is a reason.
Sin is a disconnection from life. As long as you go through life without God in righteousness, you cannot be truly at peace and happy with yourself.
You are doing something that God never created you to do.
What tends to happen is that people deceive themselves into thinking that they are satisfied and fulfilled in sin and we know that it is not true.
Sin is a violation of God’s righteous standard. Sin compels you to act out in ways that is not healthy. Sin leaves a dissatisfied feeling. Sin is bondage.
Look at what Paul said to believers living a sinful lifestyle in Romans 8.
“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.
Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
Now, LGBT, if you claim to be brothers and sisters in Christ, what is your issue with what Paul said here in the above verses of Scripture?
Copy and paste it to your response. What do you really think about what these verses of Scripture are about?
Will you ignore these verses of Scripture or will you honestly look at them and see where you truly stand?
You are still looking for something that is only found in Jesus.
Forgiveness of sins. Love. Compassion. Righteousness. Peace. Happiness. Joy. Contentment.
Many have fooled themselves into thinking that they are satisfied, but deep down, you know Someone is missing.
Being holy is about being in control. Not allowing the very thing that God hates to control everything that you do.
Can you do without adultery? Can you do without fornication? Can you do with homosexuality? Can you do without lesbianism? Can you do without bestiality? Can you do without bisexuality?
Can you get married to the opposite sex according to Genesis 2:21-25 and be husband and wife?
These are the very questions that confront all sinners including LGBT.
