Free Speech – Only In America

Islam’s prophet, Mohammad is in the headlines.

In the United States, there’s been an aggressive move to limit free speech.

If you are upset, sometimes you gotta man up and take it.

Verbal abuse is unnecessary, but it is not going to stop. This is not to say that I am respecting other religions above the Lord Jesus Christ. When the Lord Jesus walked the earth, even He was abused by His own people.

John 1:11 “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.”

Even worse, His own people crucified Him.

Acts 10:38-39 “…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree.”

Something was said with cartoons and the whole Islamic world is lit up like a fire on the country side. North Korea goes crazy for a movie about their leader and they want to do cyber war.

Sounds like folks are agitated, but many have spoken against the Lord Jesus Christ and yes, we do get upset, but not like the world. If they were really mad, they would probably launch a nuke if they had one.

While I am on this hit parade, I might as well march.

As a street preacher myself, many have approached me and considered the use of a loud speaker to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ offensive, it’s hate language, and they desired for me to turn my speaker in another direction or cease preaching altogether.

A few persons have challenged me to get a sound permit.

Let’s look at the law on free speech and street preaching.

1“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” United States Constitution

2″We have the right to pass out literature, to preach, and to display signs on public areas.” Coates v. Cincinnati 402 US 61, Edwards v. S. Carolina 372 US 299, Furr v. Town of Swansea, F. Supp 1543

3“We have the right to exercise our religion and to speak in all quintessential (ideal) public forums.” Frisby v. Shultz 487 US 474, US v. Grace 461 US 171, 176

4We have a “guaranteed access” to streets, parks, and other “traditional public forum” and mere inconvenience to the government will not outweigh our free speech interest.” Hague v. C.I.O. 307 US 496

5“Our freedom of speech may not be prohibited merely because it offends some listeners.” Cantwell v. Connecticut 310 US 296, Simon & Shuster v. New York State Crime Victims Bd. 502 US 105, N.Y. Ties v. Sullivan 376 US 254

6“A city may not consider the listener’s reactions when permitting free speech activity.” Forsyth County v. The Nationalist Movement, 505 US 123.

7“Hecklers do not have veto power over a speaker’s right of free speech but police must control a crowd rather than arrest the speaker in order to maintain order.” Cox v. Louisiana 379 US 536

8“WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE LOUD ENOUGH TO BE HEARD.” Saia v. New York, 334 US 1943

9″We have the right to be protected by law enforcement if the crowd is offended by what we are preaching and becomes hostile.” Hedges v W.C.U.S.D. No. 118, et al 9F, 3d 1295

10″Permits are not allowed to be used to restrict a speaker’s right of free expression and permits may not be used as a prior restraint on free speech.” Kunz v. New York 340 US 290

11“A free speech lawsuit is a Federal case and allows us to sue policemen and guards in their official capacity and as individuals.” Freedom Restoration Act Title 42, Section 2000aa.

12“A free speech lawsuit will subject the police and those involved to pay our damages and all of our attorney fees. 42 U.S.C. 1983 and 1988

13Thus, the Supreme Court embraced the idea that hate speech is permissible unless it will lead to imminent hate violence.

1 Hate speech is, outside the law, speech that attacks a person or group on the basis of e.g. race, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.[1][2]

2In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group.

No one has a problem when loud speakers are used when the president of the United States shows up inside or outside to be heard by the people. No one has a problem when you go to a sports arena and hear the music. No one has a problem when you stand outside and hear the music blasting from cars.

But there is a problem when a preacher with a loud speaker is on the street corner, preaching the Word of God.

Folks, you can’t have it both ways.

Every one is a sinner so there is no special class of people to discriminate against in this category. Specified sins that are preached about in the Bible is regard to sinful preferences of sinners.

You are what you do and you do what you are.

If you are an adulterer, then the Scriptures are clear. It’s not hate speech. It’s preaching the Word of God that adultery is a sin. If you are a homosexual, the the Scriptures are clear. It’s not hate speech. It’s preaching the Word of God that homosexuality is a sin.

You have the right to disagree or repent. You make the choice as to what you want to do. Neither God nor any preacher has the power to stop you from sinning against God. But you will stop sinning one day. If you repent, that’s good. If you do not repent, that’s bad.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

Now when it comes to sexual orientation (another lie of the devil and his children), sinners want a special exemption category so that they would be protected from the undeniably clear statement of the Word of God that…..

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

And Romans 5:12 says, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned —”

When it comes to “religion,” they want to be left alone too.

Especially Islam.

If you speak against Mohammad, you will be killed.

Many people use the name of the Lord is vain every day. No other name is used as a cuss word more than the Lord God, and Jesus Christ.

But look at what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 12:31-32.

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”

If what is being said about a dead prophet is offensive, why not take the high road and let the dead prophet fight for himself and annihilate all who dare blaspheme him?

A friend of mine emailed to me the following….

Journalism dean: Free speech doesn’t protect offensive images of Mohammad via The College Fix

Free speech attorney says scholar is way off the markDeWayne Wickham, dean and distinguished professor of journalism at Morgan State University, published an editorial this week in USA Today that essentially argues free speech rights should not and do not give people the right to make fun of Mohammad. He argues that Charlie Hebedo, in its latest cartoon image of Mohammed, has “gone too far.”  The “offensive depiction of Mohammed” should not constitute free speech, the journalism professor suggested. The College Fix reached out to Wickham via email to confirm whether he was suggesting that the First Amendment does not protect insulting Mohammad. He replied that interpretation was incorrect but did not elaborate, nor respond to follow-up emails.

The image he referenced in his op-ed appeared on the cover of Charlie Hebedo only days after the attack on its office in Paris earlier this month, when radical Islamists killed 12 people. The image shows the prophet crying under a headline: “All is Forgiven.”Wickham suggested in his op-ed that the Charlie Hebedo cartoon is to blame for several violent riots that have occurred in the Arab world following its release. He then proceeded to call for broad limits on free speech, basing his argument in his understandings of U.S. Supreme Court rulings, writing that:

… given the possible ripple effects of Charlie Hebdo‘s mistreatment of Islam’s most sacred religious figure, at least people in this country should understand the limits America’s highest court has placed on free speech.

In 1919, the Supreme Court ruled speech that presents a “clear and present danger” is not protected by the First Amendment. Crying “fire” in a quiet, uninhabited place is one thing, the court said. But “the most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a theater and causing a panic.”

Twenty-two years later, the Supreme Court ruled that forms of expression that “inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace” are fighting words that are not protected by the First Amendment. …

Ari Cohn, a free speech lawyer at The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, told The College Fix in an email that Wickham’s analysis of free speech “misses the mark in several ways.”

“The ‘clear and present danger’ test he cites comes from an early 20th century wartime case holding that voicing opposition to conscription could be prosecuted as an attempt to obstruct the draft,” Cohn said.

Notably, Wickham also fails to mention Brandenburg v. Ohio in which the court clarified “clear and present danger” by establishing an imminent lawless action test. It set a precedent that the state cannot ban speech unless the speaker intends to incite a violation of the law that is both imminent and likely.

Cohn said the satirical cartoonists at Charlie Hebedo “did not advocate, and could not reasonably be interpreted as advocating, for anyone to break the law. They were nothing more than social commentary.”

Wickham also references Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, in which the Supreme Court defined “fighting words,” which is a type of unprotected speech.

But characterizing the satirical cartoon of Mohammed as “fighting words” is also inaccurate, according to Cohn. He said “fighting words” are “an extremely narrow category of speech limited to abusive epithets spoken face-to-face to a particular individual, which would tend to provoke an immediate violent response.”

Wickham concluded his editorial by arguing that because the satirical cartoons incite violence in the Arab world, they push “Charlie Hebedo’s free speech claim beyond the limits of the endurable.”

Using similar logic, Cohn noted, one could conclude “that the civil rights advocacy of the 1950s and 1960s was not protected by the First Amendment…This advocacy could, would, and did lead directly to violent and heinous acts of reprisal and intimidation by groups like the Ku Klux Klan and other segregationists. The irony of Wickham’s article being published on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is breathtaking and inescapable.”

Cohn was particularly troubled by Wickham’s understanding of free speech and the role of the press, given his standing in academics.

“If student journalists are being taught that their First Amendment rights are or should be limited by how others might react to their work, the profession is in significant trouble,” he said.

Prior to coming to Morgan State University, Wickham was scholar-in-residence and distinguished professor of journalism at Delaware State University, distinguished visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and distinguished professor of journalism and chair of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at North Carolina A&T State University.

Now, if you teach in the United States something that is unconstitutional, i.e. suppress free speech, perhaps you need a one way ticket to another country.

Because I am a US Navy veteran, here, in the United States, as long as this constitution is adhered to, upheld, preserved, protected, and defended with American blood, sweat, and tears, your call to suppress free speech against Islam and Mohammad falls on deaf ears.

The Super Bowl, The Love Of “$,” & The Altar Of Lust.

images-7Unbeknownst to many but known to the devil and his children is the fact that when there is a major sports event taking place, the interconnected salacious activities are also present.

High class call girls, male prostitutes, drugs of every kind, and other criminal elements descend on these places like metal attracted to a magnet.

Strip or “gentlemen’s” clubs will be taking in business. Bars will have Super Bowl parties and those doing “work” will be available.

The millions of people that watch the Super Bowl halftime show and the many 30 second commercials, some of them with obvious suggestions of sex, will lure many unsuspecting men to the altar of lust.

It happens every year.

The wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson and the sexually provocatively seductress Beyonce` deliberately set the stage to attract more people to watch the halftime show.

But it did more than that.

The sexual immorality attached to these sports events open up the flood gates for more men to engage in fornication, adultery, and prostitution. The cities that sponsor these major sports events hunger for these championship games because of the additional tax revenue for their governments. The criminal element pounces on these events and make elaborate plans so they would not miss the action.

In 1 Timothy 6:10(a), Paul told Timothy that “The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil…”

But here is the other side of the situation with residual revenue. Men are sexually enticed by the things of the flesh after the Super Bowl is over. And I am talking about around the country and the world, not just at the arena.

Men and women will engage in homosexuality, porn, masturbation, fornication, adultery, male and female prostitution.

I didn’t know how interconnected these things were until I came across a ministry that had an open air bus. This bus had windows that you could see through. On the bus, they had women that looked like they were sexually abused.

It’s goal was to drive around the major sports events to uncover or expose the fact that prostitution, adultery, and fornication were taking place in the area of the many hotels. These abused looking women was a glimpse into the real world of major sports events.

We who are called children of the Most High God must “Abstain from every form of evil.”

We contribute to these events by watching porn, masturbating, solicit prostitutes, commit fornication and adultery. You can throw homosexuality into the mix because male prostitution is involved. As I have shared, it’s called “The Seamless Fabric.”

It’s all interconnected. There is no way to separate one immoral act from another.

All who commit these things falls under the category of “Sexual Immorality.”

Those that never break free are worshippers at the altar of lust. Perversion is their doctrine and many will fail to escape until they repent, seek the face of God, and replace false intimacy with the world with true intimacy with God.

As innocent as the Super Bowl may be, in the back ground will be scantily clad cheerleaders. Commercials with sexuality in it. Advertisement of movies with sexual content. All of these things are traps and bait for the foolish man that deceives themselves into thinking that they are strong enough to withstand the intended attack of the devil.

Not realizing that the devil took a page out of the Lord’s book.

“The sower sows the Word.”

The devil intends to sow many seeds of perversion.

Even for females.

Men in tights is a definite sexual attack on women that intend to watch the Super Bowl.

She is not watching the game for the game but she is watching men.

Lust operates in the heart of women as it does for men.

And yes, there will be commercials that will lure women. She will observe feminine power over men. She will observe masculine power over women. These things will enliven world passions to excite the flesh and mind to fulfill demonic fantasies.

In 1 Timothy 4:1-2, Paul said,

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…”

The media has served its purpose as the main instrument to communicate doctrines of demons.

When the Body of Christ fails to wake up to see the schemes, strategies, and methods the devils employ, before we know it, a demonic seed is planted within us and a harvest is expected should we cultivate that seed. We water demonic seeds by watering it in mediation. We allow it to establish a root in us and then we become unfruitful.

We wither like a branch (backslide into the world). Instead of producing fruit, we do the opposite. We become unfruitful. Meaning that we no longer produce good fruit for pruning. Then at the moment we least suspect, the Vinedresser, according to John chapter 15 comes and cuts us off from the True Vine.

Sexual immorality is not worth going to hell over.

If men and women that profess faith in Christ could recognize that the crafty works of the devil are at work in the earth according to Ephesians 2:1-4 and Ephesians 6:10-18, we could do a lot to please the Lord and protect our hearts from the evil one.

Proverbs 4:23 says “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”

And 1 John 5:18-19 says “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”

Finally, this powerful Scripture in Psalm 101:3 “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness.”

When Porn Enters The Marriage Bedroom

Unknown

It’s no longer a surprise that porn is in the bedroom.

In fact, mostly, it’s in the bedroom before the marriage.

Many wives are wondering if their husbands will ever break this thing, however, a man cannot break porn and masturbation by himself. It takes the power of God and a willingness to do without it.

Before we engage in this topic, we see that single parenting is a major issue because of the times we are living in.

It is getting rarer these days to marry a virgin.

Back in the day, if you say that you were a virgin, you were laughed at, ridiculed, and scorned.

Sex was a right of passage for teens but little did we know the repercussions.

Approximately 5% to 7% of African Americans in the 1950’s and 1960’s were single parents.

The shame of having a child out of wedlock reverberated in the neighborhood. Families were the bedrock of African American society. Partly because the majority of them attended church. However, I will say that just because you attend a church service doesn’t mean that you were automatically saved. However, we see that living according to the Word of God was more important.

We also see that in those days, there was the element of the world. Jazz clubs and other worldly influences did affect families. It wasn’t as neat as we think back in the day.

In the progressive liberalism and moderate conservativeness 21st Century, it is estimated that 72% of African American children live in a single parent home.

It is clear that the sexual activity has exponentially increased over the last 6 decades.

Therefore, it is safe to say that a great portion of males and females will enter into their marriage sexually active.

While there is much to blame as far as the external temptations around, it appears that the church is the least consulted place because of the Bible’s prohibition on free for all sex.

Women suffer the most because sexually active men have more than one partner. They have themselves when they masturbate, but when they want a body, like male lions, they seek their “pride.”

Pride, in the sense that they have multiple females to choose from that is willing to give up the sexual use of their bodies for free. On the other hand, it’s the same with females. They look for willing males that will give up the use of their bodies, money, and other trinkets that go with having sex for free.

There is a small contingent of women that look for male companionship without marriage because of careers, jobs, and other issues.

However, for the female virgin that saves themselves for their husband, it is safe to say that they may encounter a sexually experienced, active male. The sexually active male brings into the bedroom several women because according to 1 Corinthians 6:16 “Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”

So depending on his sexual habits, he is bringing many women into the marriage bed.

However, there is another thing that has to be considered.

Since the Lord declared that “sight adultery” is no different than physical adultery,”  the male must dump them all for the one he selected to marry. It’s the same with the woman. She too must do a soul dump of all her sexual partners if she was sexually active.

How is that done?

That’s done by the power of God and the male or the female that was sexually active renounce all soul ties, connections, and associations. Never to return to them again or to make new ones in the future.

This sight adultery is also the pornography that a man or woman watched.

When they act out sexually while watching porn, they are joining themselves to that image.

There are times that a man will want to have sex. During that time of sex with his wife, he takes his wife to where he was. He attempts to engage in sexual positions observed in porn films.

During a counseling session, a woman said that when she was having sex with her husband, she felt dirty. There is no question in my mind that what he was doing was pretending to have sex with that image on the screen in his mind. The things in his heart and mind were transferred into the marriage bedroom, and the spirit of that porn invaded their bedroom.

When the wife is forced into performing like a porn star, she will feel what that woman felt on the porn set. Like a dirty piece of flesh. Should she comply with her husband’s perverted wishes, she will be expected to do that and worse. That’s why when you hear about wives shooting their husbands or mutilated their husbands, it’s not far fetched that she wanted to stop feeling like a piece of meat.

She probably communicated to her husband that she didn’t want to be treated this way and he blew his top. Men get frustrated very easy when they can’t have sex a certain way. So they, in disgust and frustration find a willing prostitute or adulteress to get what he wants. That’s because in his mind, he has burned in his consciousness that what he sees another man experience was enjoyable, and he desires to enjoy sex in that way.

Wives should not have to put up with a man’s childish request. If the wife is uncomfortable with what the husband requests, then he need to back off.

And if you think that is something, there was an incident not too long ago when a woman either shot or stabbed her husband because of bad sex.”

He got his orgasm but she didn’t.

I know that this is blunt but this what goes on.

She was so mad that she killed him or she shot him and he lived, I can’t remember.

It is necessary for the pastor to get as much information about sexuality so that he or she could engage the prospectus couple in real conversations regarding their sexuality. It is safe to say that the prospectus bridegroom may have observed porn and masturbated. He may not have had sex with other women, but he is sexually active with himself.

A wife must be prepared for the fact that he will have engaged in self sex and may not be satisfied sexually.

As a child of God, we are to be like Jesus. Conformed into His image according to Romans 8:29. If Jesus never masturbated, neither should we. We must remember that we have the fruit of the Spirit called “self control.”

The same self control that Jesus employed when He walked the earth. If we cannot control ourselves sexually, then we may not have the fruit of the Spirit called self control working in us on the level of the Lord Jesus. Jesus sympathizes with us because He was tempted in “all points” (see Hebrews 4:12-16).

For the wife that may be a virgin and may have never engaged in masturbation, her husband’s masturbation habit will frustrate her. While the world will say that this is normal sexual activity for men, it isn’t. Masturbation is a selfish act that men engage in for extracurricular sex. For the most part, mental adultery takes place to further stimulate the man.

When a man engages in masturbation, as Pastor Roger Jamison of Sword of the Spirit Tabernacle in Brooklyn NY said that masturbation is the beginning stages of homosexuality. Also that masturbation is one of the ways in which man loves himself and affirms himself. However, the bottom line of all masturbation is “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.”

So ladies, when you are about to tie the knot, just remember that your husband may have issues that must be resolved. And ladies, it’s not going to take one session. When it comes to male sexuality, it takes a while for a man to feel safe to open up about his secrecy. As long as his image is concealed, he can play the game until he is exposed, or he exposes it himself.

Additionally, women that engage in masturbation fall prey to the same issues. In the world of women, concealment of stuff is no different. In her “nip and tuck” world, she want to project an image that is flawless. Shame affects us all but for a woman, shame affects her persona. What others think of her does have an affect. However, when it comes to sin, the shame of sin affects us all regardless of the secret. Regardless of what we do to mask the shame.

What matters in a relationship is honesty and integrity. Marriages that survive and abound are the ones where there is brutal honesty between two persons, seeking to make the best marriage that could stand the tests, trials, and troubles that will come.

The Dangers Of Fornication; Selling Out For A Piece Of Tail

images-4

Hebrews 13:4 says, “Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators God will judge.”

1 Corinthians 7:1-2 says, “Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.”

It bewilders me that young couples fornicate. Why is there such a problem with young couples waiting to get married first, then having sex?

It’s call “Selling Out.”

Hebrews 12:14-17 says,

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God;

lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.”

Many believe that this statement about Esau was just a spiritual connotation. While we do not have any real corroborating references in the Scriptures about Esau being a fornicator and profane person, it seems that the writer of the book of Hebrews received this as revelation as directed by the Holy Spirit.

For instance, in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, the Lord Jesus revealed the source of Israel’s debacle in the plains of Moab by the hands of Balaam. Balak solicited the services of the double agent Balaam. Balaam was a seer but he was also a diviner. Balaam couldn’t get the Lord to curse the children of Israel because God said that He would not change His promise to bless.

So Balaam taught the children of Israel fornication.

Usually, without corroborating Scripture, it is dangerous to take one verse of Scripture and presuppose, because Scripture interprets Scripture by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:20-21 says this that “…knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

However, there is another rule of interpreting the Scriptures that is in play. All Scripture is to be taken literally unless otherwise indicated. And then there is 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Thus, we can safely conclude that Esau was literally a fornicator and a profane person.

In Genesis 25:29-34, Esau sold out his birthright after returning exhausted from hunting. Jacob was able to take from Esau that which is prized.

The birthright.

There are clear advantages of being the firstborn because the inheritance and authority in the family is given over to the firstborn. The blessing is also inherently passed to the one that is born first in the family.

When it was time for Esau to receive the blessing, Jacob tricked his father, Isaac into thinking that Jacob was Esau. Isaac blessed Jacob and the rest was history. Esau, despised his birthright but when it was time to receive the blessings of the firstborn, it was too late.

So what is the connection between the birthright and fornication?

When you despise holiness and render holiness useless, it is easy to fornicate. It’s easy to commit any other sin for that matter. When you despise your rights and privileges as the “firstborn” in the family, it is easy to sin.

There’s many members in the Body of Christ that despise their relationship with the Lord. They long to sin like sinners. They get exhausted in maintaining their holiness to the Lord and they are quick to sellout.

Listen to the prophet Malachi in chapter 3 and verses 13 through 15.

“Your words have been harsh against Me,”
Says the Lord,
“Yet you say,
‘What have we spoken against You?’
You have said,
‘It is useless to serve God;
What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance,
And that we have walked as mourners
Before the Lord of hosts?
So now we call the proud blessed,
For those who do wickedness are raised up;
They even tempt God and go free.”

In Matthew 26:41, the Lord Jesus gives us a very powerful tool against the sins of the flesh.

“Watch and pray, lest you fall into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak.”

Paul gave us these words in 1 Corinthians 10:12.“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”

1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;

that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified.

For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.”

Peter gives us these words in 1 Peter 5:8-9. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith…”

I give these Scriptures in hopes that we would never fall prey to the devil and sellout.

This is not the time to give in to the dictates of the flesh, to indulge in the flesh. To do so will cost you.

Esau went to Isaac and cried tears in repentance to get the blessing of the firstborn, but it was too late. There are many fornicators that seek to have that place in God they once had. And they will never get it again. Do not get the Bible twisted. As NT believers, 1 John 1:9 is there to ensure that we get it right with God in our hearts.

We do “have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous.”

Jesus pleads our case before the Father and the Father forgives our sins and remembers them no more. However, to have that place we once had before committing the sin of fornication, well, there’s a lot to lose.

What is lost?

The momentum to be used by God the way the Lord used you. The people of God once held you in high standards with the Lord.

We must remember that although David’s sin was removed according to the prophet Nathan, yet, David, the one that killed Goliath, did not finish well. He was chased to death (literally) by his own sons. Not for the sin of adultery with Bathsheba, but for numbering the people. From that point on, the decline of David’s rule underscored the importance of staying holy before God.

The whole purpose of sin is to stop the power of God from operating in your life. To diminish your usefulness to the Master. To bring down those around you. And if you are not careful, to take you straight to hell (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

When two unmarried people lock hips and lips, it says a lot about their morals.

For the male, it says that he treats you less than a lady. For the lady, it reveals to that male that you are cheap and easy. You are a dime a dozen.

The Lord treats you better than that, young lady.

And to sell out to a male that had only one thing on his mind is a clear indication of the kind of life you will have when you are with him if you decide to get married to him. This means that he is capable of fornicating with other women, if he hasn’t done so already.

And should you become pregnant, you know he is on the hunt. Males that are on the hunt for females is no different than a male lion with a pride. When one lioness is pregnant, the male lion has no problems. He has plenty in his pride to mate with.

Such is the case with humans.

Males that are not monogamous has a “pride.”

Because men are “Wired For Intimacy,” his urges and impulses will rise and he will go hunting if he is sexually turned down. Should the woman get pregnant and should she give birth, her maternal instincts will kick in. Her prioritized concern will be about the child. Which means that if there is no sex because she is more concerned about the child, the man will feel neglected and seek intimacy in more ways than one.

Porn, masturbation, prostitutes, tail on the side, adultery.

However, the worst feeling is knowing that the Holy Spirit is grieved.

Nothing hurts the heart of the Father more than a child of His that deliberately betrays the Lord.

“Godly sorrow works repentance, leading to salvation, not to be regretted.”

In many of our local assemblies, single women make the choice to bypass the Word of God to hold out. The devil lies to them and they easily fall prey to the devil. That one moment of pleasure has turned into a whirlwind of trouble for 18 to 25 years. She struggles to make things work.

The cover up is that most males and females that engage in Secret Sexual Sins, they get married. Truth of the matter, if she is pregnant, she will begin to see the true character of the male she fornicated with. A woman will not know the true measure of a man until the child comes.

As a potentially unrelated side note, male lions are fascinating, in that they reveal some character traits of human males. Female lions need the protection of the male lions from other male lions seeking a pride. So the female lions hunt. The males lie around all day until dinner, then eat. Then the female lions are allowed to take the rest of what’s left to feed the rest of the pride. The males patrol their territory and then return to check on their pride, eat dinner, and go to sleep.

But one striking feature that stands out is that when male lions want a pride, they seek out female lions so they could mate. If there are any cubs from the last male lion, they kill the last male lion’s offspring so that the females would mate.

My point is clear.

Unregenerate man is ruthless as a lion and will “hunt.”

Thus, endangering the nucleus of the family.

That’s why it’s important to abstain from fornication, adultery, bisexuality, homosexuality, and do it God’s way.

We can never go wrong when we do things the way God intended. We reduce the amount of trouble that many families encounter. It’s bad enough that the things that happen in life happen but we do not have to add to the mix with our own inability to maintain our sanctification.

On another different note, too many of us place 100% of the blame on Planned Parenthood.

Before you think that I am advocating abortion, I am not.

This death mill is there to take advantage of the sin of fornication and adultery.

When we sin against God, they open their doors to “help” man kill the image of God.

Planned Parenthood and other abortion mills must be closed but how will they close if we insist on committing adultery and fornication? If you cut off the means by which something is necessary, you eliminate their usefulness. There would be no need for abortion if people would get married and have children. Abortion would return to being rare (medical necessity, confirmed and verified, that the life of the mother is viably threatened).

Until there is abstinence, murdering the unborn will continue.

Admonition?

Do not sell out your birthright. Pursue holiness.

No holiness, no Lord, no heaven.

It’s just that simple.

Being Honest And Open About Porn And Masturbation

images-3

It takes courage to be open about your sexuality. It takes even more courage to be open about porn and masturbation.

Men tend to be more secretive because lust in the heart is a pleasure of this life he wants few people to know about.

The way people perceive him is important. Anything that emits an evil, unsavory scent will put him in a category of the sexually deviant. It hurts to know that somebody knows that you are a pervert.

Sins of the flesh is a pleasure that God forbids. Within the framework of marriage, a man can enjoy sex. This is the boundary that the Lord set to save a man from the underworld of departed sinful spirits. But man loves to deviate in secrecy to have pleasure on the side.

To indulge at your own peril is not good.

In fact, the Lord God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.”

How does a man become honest and open about porn and masturbation?

In looking at the life of David, when he lusted in his heart for the wife of Uriah the Hittite, named Bathsheba, we can see that secrecy in the heart of David was at play here (see 2 Samuel 11). David was a man after God’s own heart that would do all His will, the Bible tells us. But lust or coveting your neighbor’s wife was in David’s heart.

While we could speculate, such speculation is preponderance. It is more likely than not that David had Secret Sexual Sins evident in his life.

Notice Psalm 32:1-5, A Psalm of David.

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long.

For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer.
Selah

I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.
Selah

While David never said masturbation. let’s be honest about it.

When men come to church service after a night of porn and masturbation, we are never quick to articulate specifically these sins when we ask for the Lord’s forgiveness. This is a common act of men in sexual sins. We avoid the shame of saying specifically what these sins are because it is shameful. Shameful in the fact that we have stooped low from the normalcy of male sexuality into the depths of perversion.

So we try to cover what we’ve done by using words that mask what we are really asking God to do.

To forgive our porn and masturbation habits.

If we were really honest, we know that after we believe in our hearts that the Lord forgave us, we are quick to return to make preparation to sexually sin again. If we were really honest, we would see that we have developed a pattern of deceiving ourselves, over and over again.

We want the Lord but we want to have the pleasures of this life at the same time.

We men fall into the common patterns of male sexuality. According to Dr. William Struthers, from his book on “Wired For Intimacy,” we see that it is common for a man to be attracted to the opposite sex. But it is sinful to take attraction to the level of lust.

According to Dr. Struthers, “porn hijacks the brain.”

We lust after that image to have sex with something that is just an image. So we act out sexually by ourselves to climax as if we have had sex with her. In the soul and spirit, we’ve made an attempt to become one with that person and we haven’t even touched her.

But according to the Lord Jesus, we have.

Matthew 5:27-30  “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”

The sole purpose of porn is to fuel the perverted passion of lust in the heart for her. Again, notice that the Lord uses two anatomies of man.

The right eye and the right hand.

We all know that with the eyes, we are stimulated but we also want the penis to be sexually stimulated. So we touch ourselves sexually. I don’t know about you, but not only does this include looking at another woman to lust after her and then use our hands to touch her, I believe that Jesus includes masturbation.

Have you ever thought about the fact that Jesus never touched Himself sexually, to masturbate?

Hebrews 4:15 and 2 Corinthians 5:21 is proof of this.

Besides, if Jesus sinned sexually, God would not have been able to place the sins of the whole world upon Him because if you sin just once, in only one area, you are guilty of all sins according to James 2:10.

Again, there is no specific Scripture that prohibits masturbation. In other words, “Thou shalt not masturbate.”

However, there is no Scripture that gives us permission to masturbate.

Just because the Bible is silent in this area, it doesn’t imply permission. And just because the Bible says that where there is no law against masturbation, there is no sin. It doesn’t mean that you have the right to engage. Many proponents of masturbation will argue until they are blue in the face, but the one thing that they will never be able to do is walk away with a clear conscience.

Because if you still have to ask yourself if masturbation is a sin, then just the question alone condemns your heart. Many walk away suppressing the truth in pride and arrogance.

Here is the reason why the answer of “no masturbation” is clear.

God confined sex within the institution of marriage.

Thus, any extracurricular sex is prohibited.

Many man that struggle in the area of porn and masturbation will be trigger quick (like me) to shoot down any attempt to stop masturbation because it is the only pleasure a man enjoys in the privacy of his world of lust. To have that woman without touching her is a pleasure that some men cannot do without.

For a few reasons.

1. No commitment. Just sex.

2. No pregnancy. Just sex.

3. No relationship. Just sex.

4. No STDs. Just sex.

After you’re done (ejaculation), you move on to the next fantasy woman.

Honestly, masturbation is more about you than that image. Gratifying yourself.

It’s only when we Come Clean about our porn and masturbation habits that the power of God can come to help us begin the process of getting clean in His presence.

As I have said, it takes mustering up the inner strength to be courageous about what is happening in us, spirit, soul, and body. As long as we pursue sexual immorality in secrecy, the further it will take us into darker places. We dare to go deeper into darkness because that is the nature of the devil. To take us straight into the depths of his darkness, which only leads us to ultimate outer darkness. Where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the worm dies not, and the smoke of our torment rises forever.

That’s the result of all sexual sins according to Revelation 21:8.

This is a good deterrent but man believes that the pleasure of fulfilling the lusts of the flesh exceeds the consequences. Man deceives himself into thinking that God overlooks this, and we know that He doesn’t. Otherwise we would not be looking out the window to see if we are going to be judged.

But when we sin, the consequences will manifest. It’s inevitable. It’s an unavoidable reality.

Take the time to seek God and muster up the courage to deal with what is going on in you. The Lord desires you to be free. The prison doors are open. They’ve been open since the resurrection of Jesus. Every man can walk free without being charged. So long as we repent, turn from our wicked ways, seek His face, and walk away from porn and masturbation forever.

Be open and honest about it.

My Thanks

I pray that not only were you blessed but that you were helped.

Since writing these blogs, in a couple of years, we’ve had over 100,000 readers worldwide. Most of our readers are obviously from the United States. However, it is equally a blessing to see foreigners re-translate into their languages about sexual immorality issues in the church.

Some of you are return readers.

Some of you have shared these blogs to help others.

I am truly thankful to the Lord for your support.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers, and thanks again for reading.
