Dressing Like A Harlot For Church On Easter

Would you want Jesus to lust after you?

Sadly, eye candy is what some, not all women become when “Easter” comes around.

They shop for clothing that is not appropriate for any church service.

Body hugging, low cleavage, high skirt hemline.

Well, they are only dressing according to the goddess of fertility and sexual immorality. Is it any wonder that some women dress sexually provocative?

satan has always perverted the most holiest day of the year.

The crucifixion of the Christ took place, coinciding with the Hebrew calendar, on the month of Nisan during the time of the annual atonement and release from the house of bondage of the children of Israel. The month of Nisan is the first month in the year for the Israelites.

According to Exodus 12, the Lord instructed Moses to tell the people to kill a lamb without blemish of the first year, take its blood and place it on the door posts and lentil. They were to eat the lamb, burn its entrails and other non edible parts, eat herbs, unleavened bread, with their staff in their hand, sandals on their feet, ready to leave Egypt.

The death angel would come at midnight and “passover” every house that had the lamb’s blood on the door post and lentil, sparing the firstborn in that house. But Egypt’s firstborn would not be spared.

This was to be a time of celebration in awe of the great deliverance that God would give the children if Israel.

This would be a type or shadow of the NT sacrifice of the Lamb that take away the sin of the world.

It would be an unmistakeable sign to Israel that Jesus, the Messiah, had died for the sin of the whole world. But they’ve rejected this Man and the sacrifice.

Early church fathers would turn this sacred ceremony into a festival. With eggs, and today, chocolate bunny rabbits. In modern times, fashionable dressing also became a part of the festivities.

I remember growing up as a kid that my mom and dad would buy new clothes for us to wear during this time but I never connected the dots.

Today, we see that when people come to church, they don’t care what they wear.

Inappropriate dresses are dead give aways that all they have on their minds is sexual attraction.

Some will say, that it’s all in your mind preacher.

Well let me ask you a question?

When you have to pull up to cover up, or pull your dress down to cover down, do you think that this is normal?

Almost in every local church, some one will come in with cleavage, or showing a lot of body and leg. Making it very difficult for the heart of a lust filled man……….or theses days, homosexual women.

Then there is the praise and worship singers that wear inappropriate clothing while “ministering.”

And the pastors will not take appropriate action to stop them at the door. They’d rather have the crowd instead of correcting this behavior.

Summer is coming too and you know that when it gets too hot in a service, covering up is not going to happen. I’d much rather prefer that you ask the Lord if He approve of what you are wearing or not wearing.

It’s much better not to come to church and go to the bar than to make the church a night club.

Self control is all in the Bible and modest dress is also in the Bible.

We do not have “elderly mothers” to stop this madness at the door any more. If they exist, it’s extremely rare.

We are too afraid to confront, discipline, and when necessary, stop them at the door.

A parent is having a very difficult time disciplining her son about what he is watching on the Internet. She comes to church with a dress to attract men.

Well, what do you expect?

Next year, it will be the same thing in many places. And sadly, men will not concentrate and IGNORE the sexually provocative seductress that comes to the house of worship to be worshipped.

So if you are wondering why we are seeing what we are seeing, just look at the source of the trouble.

Easter is not about “PASSOVER.”

It’s about sexual immorality.

Author: The Minister's Crucible

The Minister's Crucible is designed to inform the Body of Christ about the inner workings of the ministry. The word Crucible from Latin, is "crux" where we get the word "cross" from. It also means a "metal container" where metals and other substances are melted or are subjected to higher temperatures, put to the temperature test. The Lord Jesus said "If any man desires to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." Let's take up our cross and follow Him.
