Well businesses are refusing service to Christians, local Christian assemblies, and groups that express their true Biblical beliefs regarding homosexuals, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders.
If any Christian, local assembly, or Christian group, express “hatred” against the sin of homosexuality, they will be asked not to come to their establishment.
No different than when the Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were asked to leave because the manager took to heart what Congresswoman Maxine Waters said in her speech to confront Trump administration officials anywhere.
Free speech is under attack and it should be no surprise to any of us.
What you believe is under attack.
The right to express and practice what you believe is under attack.
There’s a difference between hating a person and hating the sin a person is participating in. Now many people will disagree with this by saying that there’s no difference.
In other words, hate the sinner AND the sin they’re in.
Matthew 5:43-44 (NKJV Strong’s) “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you…”
Jesus teaches all real genuine believers to do the opposite.
“Love your enemies.”
This is tough for people with minds that refuse to be renewed.
Paul said in Romans 12:2 “…and be not conformed to this world, but be transformed, by the renewing of your minds…”
Paul also said “…but speaking the truth in love…”
If you have hatred in your heart towards an enemy, the love of God is not in you, and you’re not obeying the teaching of Jesus.
God is not commanding you to change the status of the enemy but to love them.
We all know that homosexuals are militant because they want to remain in the bondage of sin. They’re enemies of the cross of Christ. Most of them, not all of them, have a very direct hatred for anyone that tell them that they’re in sin.
That’s because they don’t believe that what they’re doing in sin is wrong.
Now when it comes to homosexuals that consistently practice homosexuality, they’re not saved. Therefore, they’re not considered “brothers” in the Lord.
So since you’re unwilling to compromise and capitulate to their position, homosexuals will use every available tool to express their hatred of you.
By using fines, job loss, vilification, criminal acts of assault, they do this just to make things miserable for true believers.
But true believers of the Lord would never do these things against homosexuals.
Fase believers will.
Jesus expressed His love for sinners by sacrificing His body on the cross to save every man.
Even to the point of loving those that participated in His crucifixion.
That’s true love.
Now just because you may be a participant in a denomination, it doesn’t make a person a believer in the Body of Christ.
Notice what John said in 1 John 3:4-9 (NKJV Strong’s) “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
The Bible is very clear about the conduct of believers and unbelievers.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23 (NKJV Strong’s) “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
So if you practice the sin of homosexuality, you’re lawless.
IF you abide in Jesus, you do not practice what’s lawless (unrighteous). You practice what’s (righteous) lawful.
Having said that, true believers ought not operate in hatred.
This is not to say that this Baptist group operated in hatred. It is the accusers that claim that these Christians hate because of what they believe about the sin of homosexuality.
1 John 4:18-21 (NKJV Strong’s) “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.”
For homosexuals to claim that true believers are “homophobic,” perfect love casts out fear. We’re not fearful of homosexuals, or what they’ll use to make us conform to their wishes.
We have no fear of homosexuals or their tools to force conformity and enforce acceptation.
We fear the Lord and His Word.
This Scripture above is speaking to us about our Christian acquaintances.
However, we see the same principle should be applied to those that aren’t believers according to Matthew 5:43-44.
So each establishment could do whatever they want to deny services. And yes, it’s discriminatory. Make no mistake about it.
But true believers have choices too.
Taking your business elsewhere isn’t considered an act of hatred towards a business.
It’s an act of disassociating yourself with a business that exercised discriminatory hatred of you and your beliefs.
They don’t want to associate with you, and you in kind, don’t want to associate yourself with them. No harm no fowl.
There’s no reconciling the hatred of people or establishments.
We can choose to avoid patronizing Cracker Barrel and communicate avoiding this and other places of business that demand we conform to their wishes.
If they refuse service, we will not vilify them.
We just take our business elsewhere.
However, we should also avoid hatred in doing so, walk in love, and pray for them which despitefully use and persecute us.
