Matthew 5:27-30 (NKJV Strong’s)
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Matthew 6:22-23 (NKJV Strong’s)
“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!“
James 1:14-15 (NKJV Strong’s)
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”
Romans 6:12-13 (NKJV Strong’s)
“Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
I want to start off with these Scriptures because it’s there that you will find that if I had exercised discretion, I wouldn’t have to explain this sin in my life.
In my book Secret Sexual Sins, in the intro part, I’ve shared my introduction to pornography. But I won’t get into that.
What I want to get into is the resurgence of porn.
I was already inflamed with sexual immorality with the imaginations of my heart and fulfilling them in self gratification, commonly called masturbation.
When lust controls you, the fruit of the Spirit called “self control” wasn’t matured in me. As a young teenager, everyone experiences puberty and when these sexual aspects become aroused in you, all you need is accelerants and the rest is history.
As a born again believer, with these hormones raging “youthful lusts” were well underway. I was shy and an introvert so approaching girls wasn’t my thing. I was able to bridal this until marriage.
But most boys do explore sexuality.
Fast forward to 1996. While watching Directv, I noticed channels that provided PPV. I vowed never to explore those channels. It worked for a season until 1996.
In 1994, we’ve restarted our work in the ministry. After serving under my pastor, it was time to resume my pursuit of planting a local church. In following my pastor, we would attend ministerial conferences. These conferences fed us information to solidify the ministry.
We would buy books and tapes. I came across a tape for music ministers.
So to help our team to be proficient in our praise and worship in our local church, I had passed a tape to our music minister. Our music minister promptly returned the tape to me. On my job, I had a way to watch videos and I wanted to watch the video again. It was that powerful.
But my music minister called me on my cell phone and warned me not to look at the video.
Instantly, my interest aroused because he never tipped me off to what happened. Evidently, he put the wrong tape in the sleeve. I removed the video and played it.
It was soft porn.
I won’t elaborate the difference between soft and hard core porn.
But it would be there that my Secret Sexual Sins would reemerge and be established.
From 1996 to 2008, I would be a regular visitor on Directv at home.
On the job, when laptops became affordable, I would engage in viewing pornography. So much so that finally it got to the point where it affected my wife and she noticed a significant change in our relationship.
What was I supposed to do?
First, I never should have looked at the tape. Second, I should have given it back to the music minister and ask him what was on it. Third, if he refused to inform me what was on the tape, to let him go (relieve him of his duties).
I didn’t do any of the above. I swept it under the rug.
The music minister never should have been blamed for MY DECISION to watch the tape.
Decisions Determines Destiny.
He can’t be blamed for the lusts that was in my heart. And even if he were in possession of porn, I would not have known if he had put the right tape in the right sleeve. It would have remained a secret.
And perhaps, it may have never been known.
But this is a major problem in the houses of worship that we sweep these things under the rug and God isn’t pleased. We hide what we do in secret and destroy our lives. We play church in the presence of God in hypocrisy.
One of the last major messages of the Lord Jesus before He was crucified was Matthew 23 where He preached on hypocrisy. It was a stinging message to spiritual leadership.
What we do in secret is what we offer before the Lord when we worship Him in service.
It would be one day in November 2008 that when my wife drove to go to the store. We were in a brand new house that the Lord gave us. It was a miracle that the Lord gave us.
As soon as she left, I turned on porn. Right there, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Is this how you treat Me after all the good I’ve done for you?”
It would be then that the Lord called me out.
As I was watching CNN before it became a bad network, there would be a pastor in Texas that was interviewed about his involvement in porn. He confessed his sin on international TV and I was compelled to tell my story.
Instead of the Lord exposing my sin, I put my sin out there during a Sunday morning service.
Without getting into details about who was involved and what was done, I passed out a newsletter to all of the men.
And I gave a copy to my music minister. The one that gave me the tape by accident.
A leader in my church was in the middle of adultery while he was a deacon. Sexual immorality was heavily ingrained in the house of worship.
But it wasn’t just a male thing. Women in other houses of worship were involved in other areas but not on the level of the men.
This area of sexual immorality is connected to abortion and when you start dealing with abortion, you’re addressing the sexual issues of women in how you consent to sex but also consent to the murder of a baby to cover the shame of the sin.
If you take away the man made legal but immoral by God, sin of abortion, you’re hitting the third rail.
Adultery and fornication is the fuel for abortion.
Women will cover their sexual sins just as men do.
When contraceptives aren’t used, whether by force or choice, should a woman choose to go full term, it’s a chance to entrap a man to monetarily support her.
This is all happening in SOME of our houses of worship.
So when we deal with porn, there’s a serious underworld in the houses of worship, that if we fail to address it, we’re a night club, and not the holy house of God that we’re supposed to be.
As promised, Kenneth Copeland and other evangelicals met with the pope.
Jude 4 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 is in full swing.
After all of the warnings and admonitions, it is a sad day.
The falling away, or defection from truth is happening before our eyes.
All for one goal.
To be unified in the Body of Christ.
Commonly called “ecumenism.
It’s defined as “worldwide or general in extent, influence, or application
a : of, relating to, or representing the whole of a body of churches
b : promoting or tending toward worldwide Christian unity or cooperation.”
How can the spirit of error agree with the Spirit of truth?
Is it possible to table error just to meet the needs of the poor, the outcast, and down trodden?
Humanity needs truth as well as humanitarian assistance BUT error cannot override truth. To suppress the truth to meet a humanitarian need is like giving people sustenance while walking them through the door to hell.
The error in catholicism is as plain as day, yet, regardless of the blatant error, they forge ahead to bring many together under one umbrella. The devil can be proud of his work to deceive the masses.
What is there to say?
We that name the name of Christ must depart from iniquity. We must hold the line and stay steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Is meeting with the pope a sin? Is joining in a meeting of evangelical leaders with the pope a sin?
To answer this question, you have to go back into the history of catholicism.
You have to read the history of the works of Martin Luther, John Wycliffe, and William Tyndale.
Why was their work necessary?
When you answer this question, then you have to come to some conclusion that something is not right.
When you see that there is a clear doctrinal difference, there is no question that catholicism is a religion that was designed to deceive the masses.
Couple this with evangelical beliefs and charismatic beliefs, and you can see that this is a concoction of epic proportions.
Catholicism must renounce many of its questionable heretical doctrines. To assume that they have done so has yet to be seen, let alone be unquestionably confirmed.
But we all know that such a renunciation of catholicism is not going to happen.
From here on out, we must hold fast to the confession of our faith without wavering. We must remain true to the Word of God. We must never deny the Lord Jesus.
People of God, when a defection of this magnitude is before us, the only thing left to do is to stand in the truth. Confront the false doctrine of our day takes courage, faith, and strength because those that are in agreement with them will have no seat to sit in when the music stops.
The works of Martin Luther, John Wycliffe, and William Tyndale has been trampled upon and we can safely say that the whore of Babylon is ready to swallow everything in her path. Her bed of fornication has enlarged itself.
If you want to go with them, I cannot stop you, and neither can the Lord.
But one thing is certain.
On judgment day, tares will be separated from the wheat. Goats from the sheep. The righteous from the unrighteous.
Below is the link of the full story.
Let us weep between the porch and the altar.
Oh, heaven NO!!!!
No relapse on my part. Not on your life because we are getting too close to the finale. I know that’s it’s been a while since my last blog. However, this is not a report of me backsliding kind of blog.
The trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we that are alive and remain will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
To stay holy is my one goal. I do not plan to be fulfilling the lust of the flesh and satisfying myself when Jesus comes.
Some of you may recall the 10 virgins. Five were wise. Five were foolish. When the bridegroom came, it was time for them to go to the wedding. The five wise had enough oil for the journey in the night and the five foolish did not. The five foolish asked the five wise to spare what they had, and the wise ones declined.
The five wise told them to go and buy for themselves. So they went out to buy oil for themselves, and they found some, but by the time they got to the door, it was shut.
They knocked on the door and the bridegroom did not let them in.
It was too late.
There are many incentives to take advantage of to quit sexual immorality, however, very few will incorporate such incentives.
The pleasures of self gratification can be overwhelming because of the rewards it offers. However, the reward of heaven with Christ outweighs the pleasures of self gratification. There comes a point in your walk with the Lord where masturbation is something you do not need.
Dr. Mark Laaser, who wrote a book on Healing The Wounds Of Sexual Addiction, did a course and placed a powerful lesson on Sexual Addiction on CD. He asked a question, “Can you do without masturbation and sex with your wife?” That’s radical. Because he continued and said, “If you can’t, you do not have full control and you cannot manage your sex life.”
The release of sexual tension is powerful. However, there comes a point where these pleasure of life must come to an end one way or another. Either through self discipline or when the catching away of the people of God takes place. Even after that, people will still engage in some form of releasing sexual tension. Even then, it’s just a matter of time before it all comes to an end.
NO MORE SEX!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!
For many people, a sense of hopelessness and shame clouds the mind. Hopelessness is the fog of war in the mind and flesh.
As long as this feeling of hopelessness lingers in the mind, the attempt to break free is the light at the end of the tunnel that is seemingly a fleeting thing. Many men and women have dashed their hopes because the urges and impulses dictates their every move.
In my studies about sexuality, I learned that many people plan their day around sex. It usually is at the expense of a marriage, their job, and ultimately, their relationship with the Lord. It was true for me too. The obsession, infatuation, day dreaming, open minded thoughts of reading a newspaper, magazine, women watching, and porn. My whole day was planned around an orgasm.
All these things and the true worship of God takes a back seat. In most cases, a relationship with God in hypocrisy is better than no relationship at all. As ridiculous as this sounds, this is where many of God’s people are. I can identify with this because when you refuse to equate the sin of self gratification as part of the religious ritual of false penance, it is easy to think that you are just as close to God as if you never sinned.
Like John, the apostle of the Lamb said, “If we say we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.”
I know you are not going to let me off the hook about calling masturbation a sin because there is no specific chapter and verse that declares that masturbation is a sin. However, where the Bible is silent, it is never to be assumed that it is safe to commit an act. Besides, not many people will agree that since Jesus didn’t do it, neither should I.
This stops all of the pretense.
I mean, we are to be like Christ in every way? Right?
If this is so according to, Romans 8:29, and if we are to prove that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God, to yield our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service according to Romans 12:1, then we should be able, at least consider the fact that the Lord desires for sin to not have dominion over us according to Romans 6:12.
The majority of the time, we are always looking for a reason to “continue in sin that grace may abound” according to Romans 6:1. When we get to the place where we desire to please the Lord, we find ourselves looking for reasons to continue in righteousness so that grace may abound. We look to cut our hands and our eyes, we look to strive against sin even to the shedding of our own blood to stop sin.
No, put the Rambo knife down.
Jesus and the writer of Hebrews spoke of entering a place of radical cutting off of the instruments and members so that we would stop sinning.
Paul said, by the Spirit of God, “The body is not made for sexual immorality.”
The physical body was made to be indwelled by the Lord. The Lord desired to inhabit man and the body is not for fornication (pornea).
As long as we make provision to fulfill the desires of the flesh and mind, we will never break its cycle.
Millions of men and women throughout the world masturbate every day. For reasons that range from sexual perversion to fulfill lust, to releasing sexual tension is a major problem. It seems like marriage, which is the answer to stop masturbation is no longer the answer that man wants to accept. Additionally, self control, a fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5:22, is cast to the side.
The parable of the sower is the most powerful parable that Jesus ever spoke. In that parable is the answer to handle the problems we face in life. It also serves as the gauge or measuring tool to locate where you are in your relationship with the Lord. Producing fruit is the thing that most concerns the Father. Galatians 5:22. John 15:1-5 confirms this and Jesus further confirms this when He said that we are known by our fruit.
Man will stand in four places. Good ground, wayside, stoney ground, and thorny ground.
The last ground, thorny ground speaks of people that are trapped in cares, riches, and pleasures of life.
The pleasures of this life come with a price. If we are unable to cast aside the pleasures of this life, we may never be free. But thank God your failure is not final. While there is still time, you can enjoy freedom in Christ from the powerful urge to masturbate. You can return to experience a healthy sexual life with your wife or husband if you are married.
Most importantly, you can be restored in your relationship with the Lord in righteousness and true holiness, laying aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset you, to lay aside every filthiness and overflow of wickedness, to cleanse ourselves from the filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Hopelessness is coming to an end for you. New life in Christ is at hand for you.
The temple of perversion was open for business and it was crowded. Every one that came, got served. No one left disappointed.
Just read Ezekiel 23. Especially the part about “whose issue is like the issue of horses.”
In this manner, the altar of sexual perversion was to the point that the “issue” ran like an overflowing river.
There was a time when the halftime shows during the Super Bowl would be college football marching bands. Even then, they had scantily clad woman twirling batons and color guards. Something like the movie Drumline. Things have changed for the worse. The Super Bowl halftime show pulled many born again believers to see what is going to happen. This big as day trap captured the imagination of the unsuspecting, though they weren”t unsuspecting.
With clear deliberate intent, they made up their minds to obey their real lord. The devil. Their love for the world is more than their love for God.
John, the apostle of the Lamb said this…..
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away and the lust thereof, but he that does the will of the Father abides forever.”
There is no doubt in my mind that many men went away captured by the seduction of Beyonce.
Married women, your husband was captured by the eyelids of a seductress, right in front of you, and perhaps, you’ve done nothing to stop him. Besides, any man bent on watching that show will not even let God stop them.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:27-30….
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”
Some brothers refused to do the radical thing and pluck the eye out. Look at what Hebrews 12:4 says…
“You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.”
This is speaking of doing something radical to prevent yourself from sinning.
How radical are you willing to go to keep yourself from hell?
Proverbs 6:23-25 says
“For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life, to keep you from the evil woman, from the flattering tongue of a seductress. Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, nor let her allure you with her eyelids.”
EXMinistries was able to note the Twitter of people after the show and it is not surprising to see Marvin Sapp speak about the halftime show.
Click the link below to read the blog from EXMinistries, but be warned. The pictures you will see are sexually graphic and demonically inspired.
If you are not disciplined, you will be seduced.
When you see Marvin Sapp, the pastor/preacher singer that lost his wife a couple of years ago to colon cancer, applaud Beyonce, it was an act of mercy that his wife was in heaven.
But now she knows what kind of man of God he is.
Many preachers that will preach this Sunday, without question, bowed to this seductress and paid obeisance.
PPV porn and self gratification.
Years ago, this would be my mode of operation. After being seduced, it would not be enough. The devils behind all of this used to lead me right to the place where most unbridled men go.
Porn and masturbation.
Since the grace of God cleaned me and destroyed porn and masturbation in my life, talking about this area on the Internet has been met with stiff resistance. Brothers do not like to be exposed. They believe that what they do in secret must be kept that way. At least that’s what some men that claim to be in Christ think. However, the Lord is cleaning up His Body and it starts with the men. You will be exposed. If a man hasn’t repented of this sin, exposure is just a matter of time.
I find that when exposure comes, it worse for a family. When a man Comes Clean about it, at least he can get help and get his marriage on track. However, before the marriage can get back on track, his relationship with the Lord must be restored. Adultery in the natural resulted from being unfaithful to God first. When your relationship with God is not right, the door to sin is wide open.
I believe that a clarion call from the Holy Spirit to avoid the Super Bowl was issued. Some heeded the warning while others went to the slaughter house. This Sunday for most places, it may be difficult to pray and preach through the lusts demons. Sitting at Jezebel’s table, they drank of her seduction and are drunk with her wine. It will be difficult to preach unless…..pastor, you fast and pray. That the Holy Spirit will give you the boldness to address the seduction and provide a place of recovery for brothers drunk with the wine of sexual seduction.
The preachers that preach about the power of Hip Hop and the Illuminati know that these things lead a man right to the Playboy, Spice, and Hustler channel. Little do men know that 15.99 pays for the enslaved sexual slave-master to imprison underage and adult women.
You are watching someone’s daughter, aunt, niece, or baby sister.
You are part of a worldwide conspiracy of human trafficking for the sex trade. You and formerly myself are responsible for someone’s daughter being kidnapped. Our purchase of porn gave them gas money to drive around for the next victim. Our purchase of porn made it possible to watch men and women contract STD’s. Our purchasing of porn makes it possible for underage girls that prostitute themselves get an abortion should they become pregnant.
We are coconspirators of the greatest crime of slavery the world has ever known.
Watching Beyonce is part of it, and you know it.
They know that it is there that the bed of sexual immorality is full of lust and illicit passion. The male mind is obsessed with having Beyonce but the Lord is still the Deliverer.
Sexual pulpit predators feed on this stuff all the time and many people in church do the same. The young ladies that watched the halftime show are being schooled in the power of femininity. Couple that with demon power and the desire to have power over a man is fully set within them. In one Twitter statement, a young daughter asked her mother to take her to a Beyonce concert. No doubt for the purpose of grooming her for seductive roles in the future.
Young unsuspecting brothers do not know what awaits them, but they do know because they want to be seduced like that.
Little do they know that to yield to Delilah like Samson did is a death trap where everything that you own will be owned by the seductress. During my studies of Sexual Addiction, I noted the fact that there are women out there that desire to connect with men, so they will use their feminine powers of seduction to connect with men. Then there are women that do not like men at all, but they love to exercise their feminine power to rule men.
Proverbs 7:1-5 says,
“My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, You are my sister, and call understanding your nearest kin, that they may keep you from the immoral woman, from the seductress who flatters with her words.”
The book of Proverbs is a book for males on the conduct of life. It constantly depicts the heart of the wise and the heart of fools. The first 7 chapters deal with sexual issues. This is the place where males will fail miserably for not taking heed to the wisdom of Solomon who, evidently himself, ignored God’s own wisdom.
In the end, Solomon sexually had 1000 women or more. He loved woman. However, these women turned his heart away from God.
The wrong woman will lead you away from God.
The right woman will always have the Lord in mind in everything that she does. To lead a man away from God is selfish and demonic.
Watch this. These proverbs are like the heavenly Father teaching His son in Christ.
Hear the Word of the Lord, my brother…..
“My son, keep My words, treasure My commands within you. Keep My commands and live…..
Can you hear the Father speaking to you? God desires to keep you from the immoral woman and from the seductress who flatters with her words. You see the seductress will use all sorts of womanly words to get you to do what she says. At times, the immoral woman will just let you sexually have her so she could get what she wants from you, even if it costs you your relationship with God.
The desire of the seductress is for her to be worshipped and obeyed. Sex is the tool that she uses to get you to yield to her will. This is demonic and perverse. That’s why the fruit of the Spirit called “self control” must be used at all times. Even in certain marriages, women that are not really after the Lord will use her femininity to dominate her husband. That’s why you are called to lead and to be disciplined.
The desire to be pure is the issue of the day. The thing that the devil fights the most is people that decide to ignore his tempting power. Those that would not yield to his plan of seduction in the earth are definitely targeted.
One person said,
“A holy man is an awesome weapon in the hands of the Holy God!”
Holiness is not just the desire to never do unrighteousness but it is the epitome of relating with God on His level.
When you have perfect hatred for sin and everything that is against the Lord, your eyes will remain disciplined. When you have complete utter disdain for the works of darkness, you will do everything possible to stay in the light as He is in the light. When you treasure His Word above that of a seducer, you will become His treasure.
Those of you that claim to be holy and you chose to watch the halftime show, the Lord is grieved, but He still loves you. For those that took it to the next level and watched PPV porn, and masturbated, God was grieved, but He still loves you. For you women that may be immoral and use your femininity to seduce men, the Lord is grieved, but He still loves you.
Repentance is the only way to make it right. His righteousness is the only way to make it right. To be separate from the world and to hate everything, every work of the devil, is the only way to make it right. To ask for forgiveness and receive cleansing by the blood of Jesus is the only way to make it right. To abstain and never return to the pit of Secret Sexual Sins is the only way to make it right, and to keep it right.
Should the Lord tarry. When the Super Bowl comes on again, will you abstain to please the Lord, or will you bow your knee to porn and masturbation in the temple of perversion?
GCMWatch wrote a very interesting blog regarding Christianity Today and a person purporting their version of Gay Christianity. The link for this article is listed below.
For the last two decades or more, we’ve seen the devil and his children concoct lies. So much so that some professed believers take the bait every time.
Fish are not dumb BUT, I can’t understand why they cannot see the hook. I guess it’s because the bait look so good that the hook is completely ignored. To a fish, the hook is not considered a threat.
Every fish that ended up on the dinner plate never thought that this invitation to dinner would be their one and only invitation. Talk about The Last Supper.
When you are hungry, you do not care what else is around the bait. In fact, a little extra along with the bait might be a good thing. Then you watch your friends get pulled into the boat and they ain’t coming back. Perhaps there’s a bigger meal on the boat? You could be missing out on a great party, young fish.
Not that fish know what a boat is, let alone that an endless supply of what fish eat is in abundance on the boat.
When it comes to deception, especially when you have your own copy of the Bible, and a wealth of material to help you to understand the Word of God correctly, the itch I’m scratching has an open bleeding sore when I see incomprehension of the Scriptures.
Oh, by the way, I know that you are looking at the word “Christianology.”It is a made up word. I didn’t want to use Christology because it is an actual Systematic Theology Chapter about the “study of Christ.” In Systematic Theology, it is an exhaustive study of the major subjects of the Bible.
In most books there is the highlight or outline of topics that identify the Christ. However, in good theological books, you want an exhaustive or comprehensive study.
When it comes to finding Scripture about Christ, you will never see any connection to Christ committing or condoning sin. You will see Him forgiving sin. You will see Him identifying what is sin. You will see Him die for sin. But never will you see Jesus excuse sin. If Jesus committed or condoned sin, His blood is invalid, and His life and claim to be God, the Son, is severely, and irreparably compromised. Hence, Jesus must be disqualified from any consideration as our Lord and Savior.
We all know that the world hates true adherents of Christ. Like some of you Ghandi fans. Love Christ, hate Christians, The word “Christian” is a spiritual slur hurled at followers or adherers of Christ that do what the Lord said according to Matthew 7:21-27. You can’t do part of what He said and call yourself a full-time disciple or adherent of Christ (see John 15:1-8).
It just hit me and I never would have thought about it but there are a lot of professed believers that practice Adultery Christianity. Fornication Christianity. Bisexuality Christianity. Pornography Christianity. Masturbation Christianity.
Rightfully so, Gay Christianity is at the forefront of today’s “progressive” professed lip service, heart far from God people but the forerunner of Gay Christianity is Adultery Christianity. Fornication Christianity. Bisexuality Christianity. Pornography Christianity. Masturbation Christianity.
So now we see a concoction of false doctrine intermingled with truth. I mean. Come on. The devil cannot sell a lie. He must have an element of truth and enough people accepting this mixture. That is the devil must have people that are without any measure of literate comprehension of the Word of God to accept this poisonous mixture in order for more fish to get into the boat.
Sort of like watching people chew on something that looks good but it doesn’t taste very good at all, however, with a smile on their face, they all continue to eat. All the while encouraging others to try it. Dining to death.
When you practice lawlessness or unrighteousness, commonly called sin, you are not a follower of Christ. So the best way to change that (that is to deny the truth of the gospel) is to pretend or imitate a true child of God while practicing the thing that God is against, and get as many Biblically illiterate people to join the party in the boat above.
As I have said before, Jesus died to set us free from sin, not so that we can practice sin.
People sometimes forget why God sent His Son into the world.
Click this link and please do not scratch your head.
I can’t believe I did it again. Lord, I thought that I would be done with this. I can’t break free. Why, Lord? Why am I still bound. I promised that I wouldn’t do it again, and I have failed.
Forgive me, Lord. I’m sorry.
O wretched man that I am! Who will be able to deliver men from this body of death?
No. I am not talking about me in relapse (Fred Rochester), there is a backstop of prevention instituted and incorporated in my life, but the many other men and women that remain bound when they do not have to be bound. Masturbation, adultery, fornication, bisexuality, homosexuality. It’s a constant cycle for many and it seems like there is no way out.
But there is.
You just need to make up your mind to cross the line to God and never go back.
Now mind you, Paul said…“Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall….”
When I read that Scripture, Paul issued a warning that if you do not pay attention to your surroundings, you will fall.
As long as you pay attention to your surroundings, you will not fall.
The moment you take your eyes off of the Lord, fail to put the Word to work in constant instant application to your life, mainly, your eyes, hands, and your mind, you will fall.
Look at what the Lord gave Peter.
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self- control, to self- control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;“
This is not perfection.
This is watching and praying.
Watching who you submit to (God and the Word), and learning how to put it all together to keep free of sexual addictions and bondages.
In 24 hours, 2.1 billion persons will download Internet porn.
NO ONE WATCHES PORN AND NOT MASTURBATE or TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL! ACTING OUT WITH ANOTHER PERSON IN FORNICATION, ADULTERY, and HOMOSEXUALITY.
Now, you’ve tried to stop.
You’ve fasted and prayed. Confessed the Scriptures. Talked to your pastor or accountability partner, or your accountability group that you trust and feel safe with, but the urge got too strong to overcome.
What really happened was that the urges and impulses were allowed to rule in such a way that you gave up fighting them. Remember, the temptation has limitations imposed by God. It’s your urges and impulses that need to be disciplined.
You tried to escape, but all of a sudden, you find yourself making the provision for the flesh. One thing led to another, and after it’s over, the remorse sets in.
Once again, you cave in to the desires of the flesh and the mind. In most cases, multiple episodes in one day.
I know. I, and many other men and women fell prey to the lusts of the mind the flesh.
How did God delivered me?
Hopelessness sets in and there is an inner surrender to the will of the flesh and mind.
Hopelessness is not the end.
The mind enters into hopelessness when the mind deceptively convinces itself that there is no way out. Even when there is a way out, the mind refuses to accept a way out and self inflicted or self imposed banishment sets in.
For every believer in Christ, there is hope. The Lord promised this in 1 Corinthians 10:13.
In Mark chapter 5, Jarius’ daughter fell ill and eventually died. On the way to help her, the woman with the issue of blood was hopeless because she spent all that she had and she went to many doctors. It looked very hopeless for her until she heard of what the Lord Jesus could do. Her hopelessness turned into faith and while in the condition, she reached out to the Lord and received her healing.
While Jesus was conversing with the woman, some of the people at Jarius house came with some bad news. His daughter died. And they said to him…“Why trouble the Teacher any further.”
In other words, abandon all hope. There is nothing that Jesus could do.
Death has a way of stealing any chance of hope. It’s the same with certain situations in life. We honestly believe that when something happens, it’s beyond even the reach of God. That’s where faith shuts down and there is an acceptance of the conclusion.
First, you are still alive. So that is an indication that you have hope right there. Second, God never threw you away, did He? Third, the Word is there to help you, not condemn you.
There is a difference between making a mistake and intentional sin.
In either case, grace is the same, however, when we keep on sinning, knowing that the Lord will be gracious, we run the risk of assumption. The one thing that we have to be careful about is abusing the grace of God, or taking full advantage of the grace of God. God is all the time forgiving us; time and time again because it is His nature.
He loves us.
He knows that we are flesh or dust.
BUT there comes a point in our lives that we leave assumption behind and either live fully for Him or walk away from Him to live in a backslidden condition.
Remember what Peter said, you are to have and abound in “self control, perseverance, godliness.”
Then Peter said…
“For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble…”
Stopping the stumbling is in your court. At anytime, you can stop stumbling.
Now because you are born again, Galatians 5:22 says that “The fruit of the Spirit….self control.”
You have self control already within you because you are in Christ.
So, how did the Lord deliver me?
Deliverance is always in the plan of God for His people but the work was already done on the cross of Christ. The only thing that is left is accepting the face value of the Word of salvation, that is, working in our lives what the Lord already did for us by working the Word of God.
Simply put, it’s called application or practice what you preach. Preaching is good, living what is preached is better. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God” but doing is now required to show your faith. It is now a matter of taking what you received by faith and manifesting the required expected action.
Jesus said, “If anyone hear these saying of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock: and the rains descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded upon a rock.”
As James said, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so then faith without works is dead also.”
Just like when we receive money, we know exactly what to do with money. We either save it or we spend it. Well, the Word of God is the same way. When we read the Word, we put the Word to work.
If you do not want to fall any more, be like a wise man, build your house on a rock and when the storm comes, you will not fall. What did this man do to be called a wise man? He heard the Word and He did the Word.
Remember, Peter said that we are to “add to self control, perseverance.”
It’s now a matter of developing self control through constant and instant application to the Word of God in perseverance or patience.
Perseverance is patience under extreme conditions.
The Greek word for perseverance is “hupomone” and it means “a remaining under.”
You are not willing to walk away prematurely. You choose to remain under. Just like when the storm passes, to stay protected, you remain under cover. It takes discipline to remain under.
If you recall the parable of the sower, (see Luke 8), the ones that are on stony ground are the ones, upon hearing the Word, received it with joy but they endure for a little while and when temptation comes they become unfruitful. But Jesus continues and says….
“But the ones (seed) that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”
The word “patience” is the same Greek word translated in 2 Peter 1, “hupomone.”
James chapter 1 says… “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the trying of your faith produces patience, But let patience have it’s perfect work, that you may be complete, lacking nothing….Blessed is the man that endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
The word “patience” is the same Greek word translated in 2 Peter 1 and Luke 8:15, “hupomone.”
The reason why we fall into sin is because we do not give the seed of the Word time to grow roots. The stony ground is indicative of an heart that is impenetrable. The seed can never penetrate hard places. All seeds needs good soil or good ground so the sower could plant it in the ground in order for it to grow.
But this stony ground is also indicative of an impatient heart. We fail to let the word have enough time to get deep into our hearts.
Look at the Scriptures above again and you will note that various trials and testings will come. Make no mistake about it.
But what is the goal? To pull you away from Christ. But also “that the testing of your faith produces patience.” So you must recognize that the testing of your faith is constant.
Everything is a test. You will not go on to the next lesson in life until you pass the test. If you wonder why you are left back on the spiritual grade level, it’s because you haven’t passed the test yet.
Pass the test and you can move to the next grade of glory.
You won’t know how to recognize and keep yourself under the Word of patience and perseverance if tests and trials do not come your way.
The mind and the flesh has to be disciplined if you are going to stay in Christ.
What it all boils down to is perfecting obedience regardless of how bad the mind wants pleasure and the no matter how bad the urges and impulses get. To deny the flesh is a very tough thing to do because the flesh always wants to have its way but when you are in Christ, the flesh must be denied and disciplined.
That’s why it takes patience, perseverance. Then the Word says…“godliness.” Godliness is respect or reverence of God.
This is how I was able to work with the grace of the Holy Spirit to incorporate self control, perseverance, and godliness.
In 1 Corinthians 9:27. Paul said,
“I discipline my body and bring it under subjection…” and “cleansing myself from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
We will never escape the presence of sin while we are living on this earth. But we, like Paul said, are to “reckon ourselves dead indeed to sin, but alive unto God.”
NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF. NEVER GIVE UP ON GOD. IT’S NOT OVER!!!!
Many of us just cannot seem to put an end to sinning against God and His Word.
Is it because we have developed such a bond to the sin we love that to break off the “relationship,” our mind tells us that we are crazy?
Then we pray for God’s forgiveness. We ask Him to cleanse us. And we feel that we’ve appeased God and we think He is no longer on the path to judge us. We wear out 1 John 1:9 and 2:1-2.
Just in the passage alone, we find a “loop hole.”
But is it?
Read verses 3-6 and you will find that the Lord is deadly serious about sin.
We find ourselves sinning that same sin again and praying for forgiveness. And we try to hold God to His Word in the verses preceding verse 3. Then the accountability verses are staring at us in the face.
WE WEREN’T SERIOUS AND JOHN CALL US A LIAR!!!
Now what are we to do?
Hopelessness sets in and we banish ourselves to the dungeon of remorse.
By the way, godly sorrow works repentance, that leads to salvation, not to be regretted. Repentance is the beginning stage of freedom from the dungeon.
You look at the word dungeon and you see the word dung. We know that this is human excretion. When prisoners are chained and gated in these places, there were no bathrooms, commodes, toilets. They did their business right there in the cell.
Hence, dungeon. And we, in similar fashion, when we sin, we are prisoners of sin until we accept the freedom forever from the power and guilt of sin.
HOW MANY CHANCES DO I REALLY HAVE?
The unregenerate mind, the un-renewed mind. The rebellious mind doesn’t want to please God. It is so caught up in getting mental pleasure and satisfaction. The insatiable desire to sin is not all powerful. The desire to sin was crucified on the cross of Christ. What makes sin powerless is the victory that Jesus achieved for every man.
The mind and the body must be convinced that God, through Christ, did everything to help us overcome sin and the devil’s temptation, as well as working in the Word, the power of God to overcome sin every time.
Paul said, “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!
The Living Bible, a paraphrase Bible, not a word for word translation, says it this way…
Well then, shall we keep on sinning so that God can keep on showing us more and more kindness and forgiveness? Of course not.
But the Living Bible continues to give us powerful insight about our new birth experience…
“Should we keep on sinning when we don’t have to? For sin’s power over us was broken when we became Christians and were baptized to become a part of Jesus Christ; through his death the power of your sinful nature was shattered.”
That’s the whole key to being born again. We do not have to keep on sinning when the power of sin and the power of our sinful nature was “shattered.”
Look at Isaiah 53:5…..
“For He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities, the chastisement (the beating He took) for our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes, we are healed.”
Look at Hebrews 4:15-16…
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
Jesus was tempted with everything we are tempted, so He knows what we go through. He is not aloft or out of touch with what we go through. Remember, He was born with flesh. He was tempted by the devil for 40 days and even afterwards He was tempted.
His only place of peace was in solitude with God in the mountains in deep prayer. In some cases, all night long. But the Lord knows what you are going through. That’s why He took away the power of death by living free of sin Himself to prove that we, too, can live free of sin.
This is not about being perfect. This is about having perfect hatred for sin on God’s level. When you hate sin like God does, you are destroying the reason to sin.
If the plug is pulled on an appliance, it cannot work. Take a battery out of a car, it cannot start. Take the life out of a body, it is dead.
If you are not shouting by now, something is wrong with you.
The sacrifice of Christ, once and for all, eradicated every once of power that sin had over us. The urges and impulses to sin are still in the flesh. However, through the new birth, we…
“…come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
We rely on the Lord who is “…faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it (the temptation).”
See, temptation is just an offer that can be refused every time. You have the Lord, who is faithful and will never let temptation get beyond your ability to resist.
James 4:7 says…
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
The Amplified Bible puts it this way…
“So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.”
You see the sequence?
When you choose to submit to God, then resist the devil, you are putting yourself in total obedience to the Lord. That’s the only sequence that causes you to have victory over temptation every time.
For instance, when the Lord tells you to turn the channel on the remote. Do you submit or do you rebel? You can’t resist if you are in rebellion. The Lord is giving you a way of “escape” and you take that escape route to evade falling into sin.
James 1:2-4 says…
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
When temptation comes, it tests your faith in God’s faithfulness. But if you let patience have it’s “full play,” God will not allow the devil to tempt you beyond your ability to resist. So when the temptation comes, learn to let patience kick in. Just wait and let God calm your nerves down.
Give the Word time to work in you.
Do not be quick to walk away from the Word. Let the Word do the work in your heart and mind, subduing the flesh.
That’s why the believer falls into temptation. He refuses to submit to God.
When I make some comments on the Internet toward LGBT and their sympathizers, they always accuse me of “hiding behind the Bible.”
Calling the Bible “a crutch.”
That’s what gives us the victory. The Word is the only place where victory is achieved. And instead of sinners and sympathizers of sinners doing the same, they are the ones caught in the web of sin.
And just like wines and spirits (evil spirits), the drink goes down smooth but in the end, it bites.
Revelation 12:11 says…
“and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
The word of their testimony is the fact that God’s people take the Word of God and apply it to their lives and that’s what gives us the victory over temptation every time. For every temptation there is a way of escape planned and all we have to do is submit to God in complete unquestioned obedience.
Listen to 1 John 5:3-5…
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world- our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”
So when we are hearers and doers of the Word, we are living our faith in Christ out and this is the victory that overcomes the world. When you see the word “world” look at Ephesians 2:2…
“in which you once walked according to the course of this “world,” according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience…”
The devil is the prince of the power of the air and he is the one that is dictating the course of this world. To break free of course of this world, you must be born again. Remember, Jesus destroyed the power of sin on the cross. So the prince of the power of the air has absolutely no power over you.
Look at what Paul said in Romans 8:1-2….
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
As long as I obey the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, I am free from the law of sin and death. That means that the devil cannot enforce his law over my life because I am not in his kingdom.
The only time that his law of sin and death works is when I free myself from the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
The only thing that the prince of the power of the air can do is tempt you and because God is faithful, the devil cannot turn up the heat when the initial stages of resisting are successful.
In other words, he cannot push you beyond what you are able to resist because God will not let Him.
THE FIGHT IS FIXED in our favor, AND YOU GOT TO KNOW IT!
Now how do we submit to God?
Paul gives us a very powerful word in Romans 6:13.
“And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
The verses 17-19…
“But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.”
So you apply the Word every time and you do something different with your members.
You do something different with your hands, your eyes, your feet, your sex organs. You do something that takes you away from sin by submitting to the Word of God. You listen to the Holy Spirit that is able to show you how to escape. You flee sexual immorality. You go in another direction. You change the subject in your mind. You think and meditate on God instead of meditating on sex.
Now the question was asked…
How many chances does the Lord give us?
God’s compassion, love and grace is there to help us overcome sin, not to abuse His love, compassion, and grace. We are not perfect but we can have perfect hatred for what the Lord hates and have perfect love for that which He loves.
Because He is clear about sin.
Now we all know what 1 John 2 is about but many believers stop there. You see, every time that we sin, we are practicing lawlessness. We are practicing the deeds of the devil and we are allowing the old man to still have a say in the new birth.
When we do not put it all together to experience victory over sin in our lives, the devil is helping us live defeated, deceived lives. There comes a point where we have to stop and think a moment.
We have to put an end to sin in our lives so that we do not abuse God, and live below standard lives.
Let’s stop the abuse and treat the Word with respect and dignity.
When you go to church, take a good look around you. You could be sitting next to an adulterer, an adulteress, a fornicator, a homosexual or sodomite, a lesbian, a bisexual, a transgender person. You could be sitting next to a person that watched porn and masturbated last night and came to church. On the outside, it looks like they are all right. But deep inside a struggle ensues. The battle rages within their minds and bodies.
Walking sexual time bombs. The chain gang of sexual bondage.
The church is to be a place where sinners come to be saved. Where sin is abandoned for freedom in Christ. Where sinners come to receive the power of God and be saved from a life of sin. The church is supposed to be a place where people come to get help.
That’s what the church is supposed to be about.
It doesn’t help when people are turned away because of a lack of sensitivity to their situation. On the other hand, sensitivity must never come with permission to remain in sin. The compassion of the Lord works to help people be free from sin, not to continue in sin as if God approved.
Watching people turn their lives over to the Lord is what the church is supposed to be about. To never let sin dominate them.
Sadly, in many of our churches today, many are walking into the church, they sing in our choirs, play instruments, preach, and assume other leadership roles while practicing sin.
Coming in and leaving the same way they came.
I find that to be in church requires that something in me changes to reflect that I am truly born again, that I would never be the same. We are finding that people come in and leave the same way.
Still bound in sin instead of gaining freedom and victory over their darkest secrets.
Perhaps they want to use the church to justify their sin.
More often, we are finding that people that come to church are not seeking to justify sin. We are finding that people are not just using church activity to give them a sense of God’s acceptance. It’s like taking a bath after you’ve sinned a sexual sin, looking for cleansing. Or you go into a cleansing fit, cleaning up the house.
We go to church to have a “cleansing fit.”
But we really never learn to overcome.
Hence, Paul’s statement in Ephesians 4:20,
“You have not so learned Christ.”
I know what this is like from the time of my grossly habitual hypocrisy in self gratification, commonly called masturbation and porn. You’ve sinned against the Lord and against your own body, and your conscience lets you know about it. The Holy Spirit within you is grieved or saddened.
Many days that after I’ve sexually gratified myself, that I felt hopeless. Wondering if I would ever be free. In many people that live in sexual bondage, the LGBT argument resounds. And even I, in what was my bondage, said the same thing.
” I am bound to this and it will never stop. So stop denying who you are sexually and accept it. It’s the way you were created by God, so give yourself to it. You know you need this. Stop trying to stop who you are and accept it. You will never change, just accept it!”
You look every where to get cleansed.
Cleaning something in the house.
Anything to escape the guilt that follows after sin is committed.
We even invoke 1 John 1:9.
Many of us have wore that verse of Scripture out. The blessing about that verse is that it cannot be wore out. It could be abused to appease the guilty feeling on the inside but that is remorse.
The difference with remorse is that you are only sorry that you got caught and that you are trying everything possible to reduce the shame associated with the guilt of sin.
That’s why repentance commands us to turn, not keep turning from sin and then return to sin again. That’s revolving door appeasement. I used to call it revolving door repentance but true repentance understands how to turn away forever from the very thing Jesus died for.
True repentance is establishing one fact.
That one turns from sin because God was offended and that you do not ever want to hurt God again.
This is where many believers caught in Secret Sexual Sins are.
The urges and impulses of our flesh and mind gets the best of us when we are not meditating on the Word day and night. As soon as we are exposed to something by the Internet, the newspaper, the activities on the street, our minds shifts from righteousness to unrighteousness.
Almost like clockwork, at the flip of a switch, we aggressively pursue sexual satisfaction.
Have you ever been to the place where you were thinking about the Lord and His Word. All of a sudden your are provoked by sexuality in women. I don’t know what SSA is in experience. But the struggle with SSA (same sex attraction) in men and with women in the church is there.
If you are not disciplined, you do what you have to do to answer the sexual satisfaction call of the flesh and the mind.
You “got off” and all of a sudden, as you are sitting on the edge of your bed, you cry tears of bondage. You’ve sinned again after you promised the Lord that you would never let Him down again.
You are plunged into utter despair, helplessness, and hopelessness.
So we see churches struggling to address the issue of sex, homosexuality, and bisexuality.
Sex is supposed to be a beautify act of physically love between one man and one woman in holy matrimony according to the precedent set by the Lord God in Genesis 2:24. A beautiful thing has been perverted and the depravity of men is now the new pursuit of the 21st Century.
This is not a psychological or mental situation.
Sin is a spiritual issue that requires a spiritual remedy.
Anytime a person tells you that there is more to it than sin being a spiritual issue, they must remember that sin is the cause of all things that happened badly in the world. The fall of Adam triggered a massive defection away from God.
Sin is responsible for death. Death is separation from life. So when we sin against God, we are cutting ourself off from God (see James 1:12-15).
Therefore, to assume any another explanation is avoiding the issue.
Listen to what Paul said in Ephesians 4:17-19,
“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”
Notice what Paul said, “given themselves over to lewdness…”
To give yourself over to something is a direct defection from discipline. In other words, you lose self control and you do everything in your power to achieve an objective.
Look at the word “over.”
When you give yourselves “over,” this is the Greek word “paradidomi,” and it means “to surrender, or yield up.”
And this is what every person that is struggling with Secret Sexual Sins face every moment of the day.
The struggle to keep yourself from sinning sexually, to give yourself over to “aselgeia.”
That’s the Greek word used to describe “unbridled lust, excess, outrageousness, lasciviousness, wantonness, shamelessness, insolence.”
You are coming to church to get it right but you haven’t found a way. You return the way you came.
Is there a way of escape? Is God going to help me? Will I ever find peace and satisfaction that God promised? Or am I forever lost to my urges and impulses?
The answer, when LGBT, Sodomites, Adulterers, Fornicators, And Bisexuals In Church; Getting Help (Part Two) comes.
The early church was confronted, and persecuted for its beliefs in Jesus. In comparison, the church today is Club Med. We are riding to the Caribbean on a cruise ship. We are dancing the night away and having a good time. The more you become salt and light in the earth for the Lord Jesus, the more you become a target to be persecuted.
Your finest hour of faith is not going to be your car, house, boat, or money from book royalties. Your finest hour will be your testimony for the sufferings of Christ. Can you fellowship with the sufferings of Christ?
We’ve been reading our Bibles wrong and we have misquoted so many “stand in faith” Scriptures.
Paul imprisoned many and consented to the deaths of Christians. Yet, Jesus personally enlisted him and Paul ended up being a martyr for the Lord.
Hear what the Lord Jesus said in Mark 10:28-31,
“Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.” So Jesus answered and said, “ Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
The thing that we are ready for is the abundance when we leave all for the cause of Christ but we are not really ready for the persecution that is incrementally rising in the United States. We are conveniently comfortable. But all this is about to change whether you are ready for it or not.
Sexual immorality is the most divisive issue of our day.
When you talk to someone about their sins, sexual sins, Secret Sexual Sins, their participation in sex sins is worth more than money, drugs, alcohol, cars, house, or any other thing.
When you tell someone that they have to give up sexual immorality, you are taking a great risk because they will fight to the death to keep sexual immorality.
It’s not just homosexuality, it’s all sexual sins across the board.
The life of sin is so difficult to break from because of the promise of complete fulfillment.
All sexual sins, or any sins for that matter, gives this promise but it’s just a carrot on a stick that teases.
As the Lord told us, “…and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation.
The child of God today need to be aware that persecution is part of the price for being a child of God. You are salt and light in the earth and the devil is looking to render you ineffective in your walk before the Lord. If the devil cannot render you ineffective, he will intimidate you.
Fear for your life is one of the many tools that they enemy will use to get you to back away from preaching the truth of the Word of God. That’s why we need to shift our message. Not to confront as radical extremists but to preach the Word of God in season.
You are not liked. You are hated because of Jesus.
Therefore, you are a target. We had it good for a while. Nobody bothered us because we weren’t living lives of conviction. We didn’t have to tell anyone that we were a Christian. We kept things to ourselves but with GPS capabilities attached to your phone. With every credit or debit card purchase. With swiping a card to gain access to your job. When you log on a computer. Whether it is yours or the company you work for, you are being tracked to the maximum.
Your whereabouts is crucial because if they can determine what you believe, all they have to do is see what you’ve been up to and what your habits are.
Yes, big brother is watching you almost to the nano second, everything that you do.
Your habits are telling everyone what you are really about.
Why is this important?
Persecution is about to move from passive annoyance to chasing you.
You don’t think so?
The way that things are set up, do you honestly believe that the world is not going to bother you for your allegiance to Jesus? Do you think that by not carrying a Bible except by electronic devices that no one will discern who you really are?
I am not trying to scare you to live right. I am just warning you that our nice Christianity is about to experience a jolt that will require that you stay vigilant in Jesus. To not be moved away from the hope of the gospel.
If you study the writings of Paul, you will see that they were living in perilous times.
So perilous that if you knew Paul, your life was in danger. Every where Paul went, he started trouble and that’s the kind of Christianity the church is not aware of. We are not packaging a stand to be hated. We are already hated because they hate Jesus. We are not making a “confront the persecutors” package.
But when you know persecution is about to hit this nation for its stand against same sex unions, the sin of homosexuality is becoming the one thing that the world dares the church to unapologetically stand against.
The goal of persecution is to silence the voice of righteousness. To stop the defection from darkness to light (see Acts 26:18). Hence, NO H8’s duct tape over the mouths to silence people that speak the truth about the sin of homosexuality.
Soon, we may see duct tape over the mouths of saints as full blown persecution takes place. At this point, murder is against the law but we may see the day where the murder of a child of God that speaks the truth, and is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, is welcomed news.
It is interesting that the Book of Romans starts off talking about not being ashamed of the gospel of Christ and then in that same chapter, ends up preaching against same sex relations, the sin of homosexuality.
It really fascinates me to know that God was preparing His people for the hour we are now living in.
People of God, we are in the end times and this is not the time to be ashamed of Jesus.
This is the time to be firmly planted in the faith of Christ.
If you read the writings of Paul, you will see that many people that were once in the church left because of the persecution. But it wasn’t the only reason. Sadly, some people loved sin more than they loved the Lord.
Many were turned away to listen to other false teachers and prophets that had major connections to sexual immorality. If that is not enough, the persecution comes directly from members of the Body of Christ; people that supposed to “know God and their Bibles.”
You won’t know what a person believes until the moment of truth.
Just look at your family members.
How many of them are caught up in situations of the world of sexual immorality or substance abuse? You know that they know that you are into the Lord and His Word. The moment a conversation goes into Jesus, they are quick to shout you down because of their love for sin.
When you go to church, you didn’t expect so and so to be a practicing homosexual. You didn’t expect your pastor to come out of the closet and admit to his or her homosexuality and then persecute the righteous for not being tolerant. You didn’t expect that so many people would be for the president when he announced his support for gay marriages.
All of a sudden, the local church is seeing the demarcation. There is a deep divide on a simple sin/righteousness issue (see 2 Corinthians 6:14-18). And the divide in most local churches is not surprising.
In some cases, there’s no divide at all. The whole local church is for sexual immorality or the whole local church is for righteousness.
The hour we are living in is late and dark. We must make up our minds to stand in the face of persecution and dig deeper into Him like never before.
The hearts of men are failing everywhere and the world is proceeding on a perilous course that will separate the weak from the strong. The desperate for sin from the desperate for God. If you haven’t experienced the hatred, and the false prophets of our times to deceive many, you will.
